Going to WDW 2/2010, looking for a place for grandparents to take the kids for dinner one night. Already planning CM, CRT, WC, MM (fant), PH. Any suggestions for DD 7, DS 3 and Nana & Papa?

    Leah:

One of my children's favorite restaurants on property is Rainforest Cafe.  They can't get enough of the moving gorilla, elephant and parrots as the forest comes to life!  The menu includes familiar favorites for both young and old alike (like pasta, burgers, and ribs) and it has two locations, Animal Kingdom and Downtown Disney from which to choose.  We took the grandparents there a few years back, and I don't know if they got a kick out of the kid's reaction as much as their own!

If you can't get a reservation, the new T-Rex is similar with an extensive, American-fare menu, but features dinosaurs in themed rooms like the Glacier room.

FYI: You might want to make sure that Nana and Papa know that there are souvenir shops at both restaurants....as some grandparents may want to spoil the grandchildren, but for others the meal may be enough.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
