Will be at WDW 06-05-10, late afternoon, thru 06-11-10 and would like to take 7yr old to Jedi Traning Academy. Thinking the weekends are going to be crazy there. Any suggestions? Do they offer this during the week as well?

    Hi Chris!

We're big Star Wars fans in my household, so the Jedi Training Academy is huge for my son, and he still talks about his experience. I highly recommend it for your son!

The weekend is sure to be crowded with Star Wars weekend taking place. (If you are fans, too, then you should check it out despite the crowds!)

Luckily, Jedi Training still takes place during the week. Pick up a Times Guide when you enter Hollywood Studios and plan on getting to one of the earlier Trainings. You'll need to line up to secure a spot in the Academy, and you'll find it over by the Star Tours entrance. When I have been there, they took the first 15 or so padawans in line.  I suggest lining up a half hour before if it's really important to your young padawan that he be included.

He's sure to have a blast. They'll lend him a robe and lightsaber to use during training and he will likely see Darth Vader and Storm Troopers. Don't forget to take pictures!

Hope this helps! Have a magical vacation!
