We will be at WDW the last week of April 2012. I'm wondering if and when there will be an updated map of Fantasyland published for visitors to see. I have read there will be 2-3 new or updated attractions and would like to see a map before arriving.

    Hi, Whitney!

Everyone is getting so excited for parts of Fantasyland to open!  I have found, however, that there are often delays with construction, so please know that what might be open is anyone's guess.

I have also found that the maps on the Disney World website are usually a bit slow to catch up with the continual progress at the parks.  You might not see an actual map until you arrive in the parks, and even then there might be some changes.

I like to check www.allears.net for all the latest news on Walt Disney World.  While there is no guarantee what you read there is a "for sure" they usually get some pretty accurate reads on what's happening in and around WDW.  I also read the Disney Blog as they keep guests updated on so many exciting events and openings at the parks.  If something is going on, they are sure to report it.

What I can tell you is that every bit of magic is being used to get Fantasyland completed, and hopefully there will be some new and exciting experiences for you during your April vacation.  Sending you pixie dust that you get to see some of the brand new Fantasyland!  Have fun!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
