We are going to WDW the last week of April, with our 5 children, ages 7, 5, 2, and infant twins (and 3 adults). We would like a 2 bedroom villa. What is the best option (considering transportation to parks, food options and pool)?

    Hi Jennifer,

We are Disney Vacation Club (DVC) members, and have stayed in 2 bedroom villas at all of the properties except Animal Kingdom Lodge, we are visiting in August!  I don't think you can go wrong in any of the properties, and would let your budget help lead your decision.  Here are some thoughts on each:

Beach Club and Boardwalk Villas - these resorts share the best location of the DVC properties.  The opportunity to walk to two theme parks is a huge plus.  We love not having to fold strollers to board buses.  There are a number of great dining choices, and the Boardwalk affords plenty of free nightly entertainment.  The pools are among the best-themed at Disney.

    - Old Key West - This is my favorite resort when we need extra space.  The rooms are HUGE!  The sand castle pool and sand play area is a favorite for my kids.  My kids love the activity room, and the boat to Downtown Disney is very convenient.

    - Saratoga Springs - I love the easy access to a spa (maybe someday I'll get to go!)  The Turf Club is a great restaurant, and access to Downtown Disney is a plus.   My younger son loves the little slide into the pool.  He says he's practicing for his debut on the large one!

-Wilderness Lodge Villas - I come from a family of teachers on limited budgets, so camping was our primary method of travel.  The decor reminds me of the various National Parks I visited while growing up.  Boat access to the Magic Kingdom makes this another great location.  My husband and I had a great dinner at Artist Point, and my kids love Whispering Canyons.

-Animal Kingdom Villas- we've stayed at the Lodge, and Uzima Pool (huge, zero-entry with an amazing slide) is neck in neck with the Beach Club as my kids' favorite.  Jiko and Boma are two of our favorite Disney restaurants, and the unprecedented access to exotic animals is truly a unique experience.

I hope some of my thoughts help you make your decision!
