We are going to WDW on June 29th, staying at the GF. Our 10 yr old is turning 11 on June 8th, the trip is his birthday present. Will the hotel still recognize his birthday even though we will not be there on his birthday day? Thanks!

Having a birthday recognized at a WDW hotel is not guaranteed. However, it does not have to be your actual birthday in order to celebrate! This is the land of un-birthday and magical dreams after all.

Have the birthday noted on your reservation and then mention it again at Check In. The Grand Floridian may send balloons and/or an autographed photo from a character.

The Grand Floridian has a wonderful bakery where you could order a cake (for a small fee) by calling (407) 824-2578. They will need at least 48 hours notice.
