We are going to WDW June 2018. The kids love having their meals with the characters. Has Disney cut the number of character dining? For example, Be Our Guest, I do not see anywhere that the Beast will be there. Or Liberty Tree Tavern?

    Hi Megan!

Everyone who plans a Walt Disney World vacation loves to have at least one meal with one of the famous or favorite characters. Disney has not cut the number of experiences but they constantly upgrade and change the events according to needs and wishes of the guests.

Every theme park will have at least one Character Dining option for you to reserve ahead of time. These are the reservations that go quickly and it is advised you book them at the 180 mark. There are many choices at the resorts as well which gives guests who do not have a park ticket the ability to enjoy some Disney character magic.

The Magic Kingdom has two actual dining offerings with one at Cinderella’s Royal Table and the other at the Crystal Palace. They stopped several years ago with the characters at the Liberty Tree Tavern. Character dining takes longer to eat and Disney tries to offer table service to as many guests during a given day as possible. The Be Our Guest restaurant still offers an experience with the Beast at the dinner hour only. It is not an official meet and greet tableside though. The Beast will walk through the dining room each evening on the way to his separate room where guests are encouraged to have photos only with him after their meal.

Hope this helps with your dining plans and enjoy looking through the list on the above site to see the options and the characters at each location.
