We will be at WDW June 2-June 10. I was shocked that T Rex is already booked for the evenings that we are there. All other ADRs were easy to get. My son is heartbroken. Is there any chance that we will be able to get in? Could we possibly wait in line?

    Hi Mary,

T-Rex Cafe is extremely popular popular right now. Keep trying - there could be cancellations and you may be able to get in. If no luck before your trip, keep checking while you're on property.  Is lunch an option for you? Maybe you could check lunch availability at T-Rex and arrange your schedule so that you can get in for lunch instead of dinner.

I have tried walking up at some of the more popular dining locations and have on occasion gotten lucky and gotten in.  If you are going to try this, try it as soon as they open for lunch or begin serving dinner.  If you decide to attempt this, make sure your son knows that you're trying and it may not work. You could slip in alone and check with the host or hostess while someone distracts your son nearby.  They could give you a "feel" for what their ability for walk-ups will be while you're there and if they suggest standing by or checking in later.

I am always sad when I can't get in a place that my kids have their hearts set on. Look for some other fun alternatives just in case.  Rain Forest Cafe is another fun place to eat at DTD.  You can still take your son shopping at the gift area at T-Rex.  A souvenir always makes my 5 year old much happier.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you!
