Going to WDW in June- This is our first time going to one of the water parks during our trip and I need a recommendation. I have an 8 Y/O daughter and 1 Y/O son, which water park would be best?

    Hi, Jill!

Both Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon are great for guests of all ages from the kiddie splash areas for the little Mouseketeers to areas to super fast and terrifying water slides for the big kids.

I personally prefer Blizzard Beach with its fun winter theme.  There is even a chair lift to take you to some of the higher slides, something your 8 year old will love!  I also think the wave pool is a bit calmer at Blizzard Beach over Typhoon Lagoon, so your little one can splash around in the shallow areas.

There are life jackets available, so make sure to get your kids suited up for safety when you arrive.  Bring along plenty of sunscreen, swim shoes or flip flops, and hats.

Whichever water park you decide on, I hope you have a great June vacation in Walt Disney World!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
