Going to WDW in June for 10 days! 2 kids, 3 & 7. Hubby gets to play golf alone 1 day. Mom would like to spend about 3 hours by herself too. Don't want to spend alot of money. Don't like the spa thing.Thought about exploring Epcot. Any different ideas?

Hi, Brandie, and greetings from Alabama the Beautiful! You are great to carve out a little mommy time on your vacation, and there are several ideas that come to mind:

    1.  Check out various WDW Tours offered...they vary greatly in price and in duration.  You could enjoy a wonderful three-hour experience by yourself and not spend an incredible amount of money.  I've taken the Keys to the Kingdom Tour and would highly recommend it for adults.

    2.  Take in a leisure lunch or afternoon tea at the Grand Floridian and do some boutique shopping at its shops.  Then, take the monorail around to the Polynesian and Contemporary to enjoy a leisurely shopping trip through the monorail resorts.  (They're my favorite resort shops!)  If you change your mind about the spa experience, Grand Floridian Resort & Spa has truly unique spa services including aromatherapy soaks and baths.

    3. Another time-away trip I like to take is to Downtown Disney.  I like to order a yummy sandwich from the Earl of Sandwich and sit down outside to people watch.  Then, I casually go through the various shops that my family doesn't have time for when we're together.

    4. Lastly, I would definitely recommend your idea of taking in World Showcase at EPCOT alone.  You can eat a casual lunch and take in the various presentations at the countries' pavilions and shop at all the wonderful stores that most parents are nervous about their small children visiting! :)

Whatever you decide, I hope you have a wonderful day, a relaxing time to yourself and a magical vacation!
