    We are going to WDW in July this year. My kids have Disney gift cards. Are we able to load them on their own magic bands? We want to keep them separate so we know how much is left each time they use the gift card money.

    Hi Dan! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

    With all of the happenings going on with the new Awaken Summer fun I bet you and your family are going to have a fantastic time at the Walt Disney World Resort this summer. 

    Unfortunately you are unable to link a Disney Gift Card to MagicBands at this time. However what we do is link a Credit Card to our MagicBands and on the last evening of our vacation take our Gift Cards to the front desk to have them apply them to our account. One of the things that you could ask is if they are able to put a spending cap on your children’s accounts so that they don’t go over a certain amount of money. If they are unable to do that you obviously can still take the Gift Cards into the Theme Parks with you and maybe just use a sharpie to put their names on the Gift Cards so that you can identify which Gift Cards belong to which guest. We also wrap the gift card in the latest receipt so that we can keep track of how much is left on them!
