We're going to WDW in July for our first trip ever! :) We arrive @ 1:45pm on a Sunday. We're staying at FW Cabins and have a ADR @ Whispering Canyon @ 5. Is that enough time to make our ADR? What could be good to do after dinner w/a 2yo and a 5yo? Thanks!

Travel time between the airport and your resort will depend upon the method of transportation you'll be using.  If you take a taxi or rent a car you can expect about an hour lag time from the time the flight touches down to the time you arrive at the check-in counter of your resort.  If you'll be using the Magical Express it would be safer to plan on a two-hour delay, though it could very well be shorter than that.  But even if you arrive at your resort by 4:00, you should have plenty of time to make your dinner reservations as the boat ride over to the Wilderness Lodge is quick and convenient.

As for after dinner entertainment, you might consider attending the campfire at Fort Wilderness.  It includes a campfire (where you can roast marshmallows), a sing-along, and a movie under the stars.  Chip and Dale even make an appearance.  You'll just want to ask at check-in what time the festivities kick off but I'm pretty sure that you'll have plenty of time to get there after your dinner at Whispering Canyon.  Have fun!

I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists.
