Hello Valerie! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
Spending the 4th of July at Walt Disney World Resort sounds like a wonderful way to celebrate America's 242nd birthday.
Revelry and Patriotic fervor can be expected this Independence Day at Walt Disney World Resort, but unfortunately, information describing just what is planned has yet to be made available to the public. For updated information and news on coming events, I recommend
signing up for updates at the Disney Parks Blog to be the first to learn what is in store for America's birthday!
Last year, Walt Disney World celebrated the 4th of July with fireworks celebrations like “Disney’s Celebrate America! A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky” at the Magic Kingdom on July 3rd and 4th and a special patriotic finale to "Illuminations: Reflections of Earth" at Epcot on July 4th. There were no fireworks exclusively presented at Disney Springs, although guests have indicated that they could see the fireworks from the Disney Springs area (albeit at a considerable distance).
Walt Disney World Resort is home to many patriotic attractions available to guests every day, including:
- The Hall of Presidents in the Magic Kingdom - An Audio-Animatronics show tracing the history of the United States;
- The Muppets Present... Great Moments in American History at the Magic Kingdom - History told hysterically by Kermit and the gang.
- The American Adventure at Epcot - An epic journey through the nation's short, but storied history.
I hope your 4th of July experience at Walt Disney World Resort fills you with patriotism and pride!
