Hi, what’s going on at WDW for the 4th July celebrations this year (2025)? Thanks!

    Hiya Callum,

Thank you for stopping by planDisney with your Fourth of July question! I love this time of year at Disney World—it’s like stepping into a patriotic fairy tale. From the moment you see the monorails glowing in red, white, and blue to the smell of themed treats, it’s truly a star-spangled celebration.

Let’s dive right into your question! Magic Kingdom goes all out for Independence Day with an incredible fireworks spectacular on July 3rd and 4th. Last year, we danced the night away at the DJ dance party on Main Street, before the skies lit up in a jaw-dropping display. Cinderella Castle was glowing with patriotic colors, and the fireworks were perfectly choreographed to classic American tunes.

Over at EPCOT, the evening ends with Luminous: The Symphony of Us, but on the Fourth of July, there’s a special grand finale. It’s breathtaking and the perfect way to wrap up a day spent exploring the cultures of World Showcase. During the day, don’t miss the Voices of Liberty at The American Adventure Pavilion. This cappella group delivers amazing renditions of patriotic classics; it's truly a must-do.

And it’s not just about fireworks! Be on the lookout for festive food and treats throughout the parks—everything from red, white, and blue cupcakes to themed slushies. Last year, we even snapped a picture with Chip and Dale in their stars-and-stripes best at the American Pavilion. While characters may vary, be sure to check your My Disney Experience app for magical surprises.

The Disney Resorts also join the celebration with fun activities, crafts, games, and patriotic movie nights under the stars. It’s like Uncle Sam sprinkled a little extra pixie dust everywhere!

One tip from my Disney-loving heart to yours: the Fourth of July is a popular time to visit, and it’s often hot here in Florida. Be sure to use your My Disney Experience app to keep track of wait times, mobile order meals, and check for special patriotic happenings. Pack a refillable water bottle, cooling towels, and maybe even a small fan—it’ll help keep the whole family feeling fresh and ready for more fun.

Callum, I hope this helps you plan the most magical, star-spangled Disney day! If you have more questions, feel free to stop by and see us again.

    See ya real soon,

    Christina
