We will be in WDW in Jan 2020 and I'm wondering if it's possible to watch the 3pm parade in Magic Kingdom and still make it to Frt Wilderness for a 4pm Hoop Dee Doo reservation?

    Hi Cynthia!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I have looked at all the options and have to say it would be extremely tight, if not impossible to do this, but let's break it down and see if you can work it.   If you were to get into position for Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade at 3.00pm at Magic Kingdom Park, I recommend you stand as close to the park entrance as you can - see this Park Guide Map for the parade route - it's indicated by a red dotted line.  As soon as it finishes, you would have to leave immediately, head straight for the boat dock for Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort, and hope that there is a boat waiting for you!  If not, you might have to wait 20 minutes for the next one.  I would estimate that the boat ride will take approximately 15 minutes, and Pioneer Hall is a short walk from the boat dock at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort.  However, for Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue reservations, it is recommended that you arrive 30 minutes prior to your reservation time.  The doors will open promptly at 4.00pm, and the show will start 20 minutes later.  It is a very popular show and there will be a lot of people to be seated.  To save time you could order a Minnie Van in advance (using the Lyft app) which would add a little extra magic to your day. These accommodate up to 6 Guests, and are driven by friendly and knowledgeable Disney Cast Members, and are the only cars that are permitted to drive right up to the entrance of Magic Kingdom Park. The cost of using this service will be displayed on the app when you make your reservation.  I will add that it is recommended that you allow 60-90 minutes to travel from Magic Kingdom Park to any Resort hotel.

If you haven't already made your dining reservation, there are usually two later shows that you would make it more comfortable for you!  These are around 6.15pm and 8.30pm.  There are also other entertainment options at Magic Kingdom Park, such as the Move It! Shake it! MousekeDance It! Street Party, which is showing today, for example, at 11.00am, 12.30am and 5.45pm, and Mickey's Royal Friendship Faire is currently showing at 10.30am, 11.30am, 12.00 and 1.00pm but please note these times are always subject to change, so pick up a Times Guide when you arrive at the park to see timings for that day.

I hope some of these suggestions will work for you, and enable you to have the fun-packed day at Magic Kingdom Park that you wish for, and arrive in good time for a lovely evening at the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue.
