We are going to WDW in Jan. and bringing my in laws for there first visit. We are staying at the Value resort but wondering even with me paying for a prefered room what All star resort is best? My father in law needs to be close because of hip surgery.

    Hello there Tanya!

I understand the need to be close to the most accessible parts of the resort! My dad has a problem with his leg and we were lucky enough to stay in a lower level room which was close to the pool and main building. When you make your reservation, I would emphasize with the Cast Member that you require a room close enough to the main building and transportation area so that your Father-in-Law does not have too far to walk. Out of the three All-Star resorts, I would pick the following buildings:

For Movies: Toys Story Building 10, Fantasia Building 8, 101 Dalmatians Building 1
For Music: Calypso Building 1 or 10
For Sports: Surf's Up Building 6 or 1, Touchdown Building 7 or 10

To me the closest building is the Calypso Building at the All-Star Music resort but my favorite resort of the three has to be the All-Star Movies resort! The buildings aren't much further than the Calypso Building and I like the theming a little better! Thanks so much for asking the Moms Panel! I hope this information helps you with your planning and if you have more questions, please ask away, we are always here to help! Have a Magical Time at the Walt Disney World Resort!
