Hi Patrisha,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! My son is 2 1/2 years old and he has visited the Walt Disney World Resort 4 times in his short little life! His first trip was when he was 5 1/2 months old and it was probably my favourite visit of all time… so YES! I think it’s a very good idea to bring an infant! Babies are fascinated by their surroundings, and there is PLENTY to fascinate them at the Disney Parks.
First, check out
Planning for Preschool Kids & Little Ones page. There, you’ll find all kinds of tips and tricks for enjoying the Walt Disney World Resort with your little one! Make sure to visit the
Baby Care Centers if you need a bit of a break during the day! I love their extra-large changing tables and the rocking chairs (which will be especially useful if you’re still nursing).
This handy post over at the Disney Parks Blog gives you clear information about the height requirements for almost all of the attractions at the Walt Disney World Resort’s Theme Parks. If an attraction says that it can be experienced by Guests of “any height”, then you’ll be able to enjoy it with your infant.
Finally, I would definitely recommend staying in a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel (if you didn’t already intend to do so) and heading back to your Resort for a nice long midday rest for you and for your little one. Finally, don’t forget to pack a day bag with some extra sunscreen, a big hat and plenty of extra fluids for everyone!!
Have a Magical Day,
Lynne
