Hi! Going to WDW w/ husband and want to surprise with either Grand 1 Yacht during MK fireworks or V&A's. Wondering what the pros and cons are of each? What you would prefer? I believe they are roughly same cost per experience but any advice helps

    Hi Jennifer!

Wow! Either experience will certainly surprise your husband and be a real treat during your Walt Disney World vacation. I have had the privilege to enjoy both and will share my own personal choice with you.

The Specialty Cruise on the Grand 1 would be my choice for several reasons. It is a unique experience and something you can’t do every day. You can book just the cruise for however long you wish or really spice it up by booking to have dinner on board. That makes it even more special and you will be served a complete dinner by your own staff while cruising the waters of Bay Lake and Seven Seas Lagoon. Adding to that the beautiful fireworks show from the Magic Kingdom and you have an incredible experience.

Most of the time when we have booked the yacht we have included some food although have never done the complete dinner. We have added appetizers and desserts and drinks. This gives you another choice if a complete dinner is not something you want to do. The yacht is beautiful and you can spend your time inside or relax outside. There is a bathroom on board so all your needs are provided. It is a very romantic choice as well and my son got engaged on this yacht years ago.

If you prefer to stay on land then Victoria and Albert’s is a great choice. You can add to this experience by booking either the Chefs Table or the Queens Room which will give you even more personal service then the usual dining room. The Chefs Table has you seated in the kitchen where you can watch and converse with the great chefs of the restaurant as they prepare the foods each night. Add a wine service and you won’t find a better dining experience in the state of Florida!

    Enjoy a special evening!
