We are going WDW for the holidays and are wanting to reserve MK for NYE with park hopper. Would we be able to leave MK and come back even if the park reaches capacity?

Hey there, Sheila welcome to planDisney. Ringing in the new year sounds like a terrific holiday visit you and your group have set up. Let’s make sure you are able to party all night.

New Year’s Eve is the biggest party night of the year all over the planet. Choosing to turn over that new leaf at the Walt Disney World Resort is bound to be a magical evening. When you decide where to party is a very important decision no matter where you are in the world. It is even more important while visiting the parks. Magic Kingdom Park for me is “The Most Magical Place on Earth” and people have been counting down with Mickey and Friends for years. The Park Hopper Option is one of my favorite add-ons to park tickets so you can customize your day. However, when you are talking about days when the capacity is in question. These are the days I would recommend hunkering down for the day. You will always be able to re-enter a park with a Park Hopper unless the park has reached capacity. There is usually a big countdown that is sometimes broadcast online so you can only imagine how spectacular the fireworks show is going to be. I have watched from my home for a couple of years now. It must be even more amazing in person.

Both parks on the Monorail line are terrific options. EPCOT has always historically been where the more adult-like experiences are because World Showcase puts on a show. There are typically dance parties and DJs set up all over.  Finding the area that fits your Disney NYE style is half of the fun. You can see how each country celebrates and if there are any specific customs. A tough decision indeed. For updates on NYE news and special events keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog

I hope you have a great time during these upcoming holidays. Thanks for stopping by and feel free to visit us again at planDisney.com

    Have a magical day,
