Hi! WDW guru here, going to Disneyland for the very first time (on a work trip)! I hope to take a tour and am excited about MaxPass from your answers. Which attractions are a must-experience in CA vs FL? Which flavor should my first-ever churro be? Thanks!

    Hey there, Amy!

Thanks for bringing more great questions to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. As someone who grew up also vacationing at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, I know how exciting it is to plan a trip to Walt Disney's original Magic Kingdom!

I recommend downloading the official Disneyland app right now so you can start planning your days in the parks. You can view park maps as well as see attractions, Characters, and dining locations in both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park. While there are some attractions that you may be familiar with, there are MANY unique experiences here. Even attractions like "it's a small world," Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion, and Space Mountain are different from their Florida counterparts with the same name. Completely unique and "must-do" experiences for me are all of the Cars Land attractions, Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: BREAKOUT!, and Incredicoaster in Disney California Adventure Park to name a few. Over in Disneyland Park you cannot miss Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, Matterhorn Bobsleds, Alice in Wonderland, and riding the iconic Disneyland Railroad.

While many Guests are fans of the classic churro, there are always so many exciting varieties making their way around both parks. Recently I just enjoyed the over-the-top Mickey Mouse Celebration Churro available in Disneyland Park for the Get Your Ears On celebration. This decadent chocolate churro was drizzled with cookie butter, Mickey confetti sprinkles, and even came with a marshmallow dipping sauce. I was not willing to share this churro. It was ALL mine!

Please return if you have any other questions. I cannot wait for your magical trip to the Happiest Place on Earth!
