Going to WDW w/ friends & 1 is active military. He wants to get the discount tix for all of us but he & his wife will only be there for 2 of those days. I see that they have to be there in order to activate the tix but what about the last 2 days?

    Hi Erica,

Welcome to the Moms Panel! This is a very good question. Yes, your friend will have to be present to activate the Armed Forces Salute military discounted tickets. The good news is that he will only have to do this once; on the first day you all visit the parks. After that, you are free to come and go on your own without him. Here's the catch though: he will have to buy tickets for everyone with the same amount of park days. If you all are planning on visiting the parks for 4 days, he and his wife will need to purchase 4 day tickets for all of you, even if they are only going to be visiting for 2 of those days. Also, the last few days on those tickets cannot be used at a later date, so they won't be able to save them for another trip. When we get our military discounted tickets, I always try to make sure we get them for the full time we will be visiting. It stinks not being able to use up unused days during a later trip. The Frugal gal in me doesn't like any type of waste, especially when it comes to my time at Walt Disney World.

I hope this answered your question, Erica. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask me at any time. I'm here to help.

    Have a fantastical Disney day!
