We are going to WDW the first week of May for the first time (well I've been as a single gal but that was an ENTIRELY different experience) and we want to do a character meal. Our son is 8. What do you recommend?

    Hi Deidre!

There are so many character dining experiences to choose from, but one we have always enjoyed with our son (from the age of 3, he is now 13!) is Chef Mickey's at Disney's Contemporary Resort.  The characters you could see there are Mickey (Chef Mickey!), Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy and Pluto (characters are subject to change without notice).  This is a lively, fun, buffet-style dining experience for children of all ages, and we always book dinner here on every visit.

You can make your online dining reservations up to 180 days in advance, or you can call (407) 939-3463.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
