Going to WDW for the first time and thinking of staying at the Art of Animation Resort and getting the Quick-Service Dining plan. Any thoughts on either of these topics? Hopefully, I am making great choices! Thanks again!

Hello Christina!  Thank you for asking your question here on the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

First of all, I want to say that I think you are making great decisions.  I know planning a Walt Disney World vacation can seem overwhelming and stressful at times but take a deep breath and know everything will turn out great!

Disney's Art of Animation is Walt Disney World's newest resort and it rocks!  The theme of each room is just incredible.  It is a great place for kids and adults who love Disney movies.  The food court is one of the best on property, in my opinion.  We just love the create your own options this food court has to offer.  The different food stations are very diverse and offer a great selection.  If you stay here, make sure to take a swim in The Big Blue Pool.  If you go underwater you will be able to hear Nemo and friends having some fun.  This is such a neat feature that only this pool has at Walt Disney World.  I love Disney's Art of Animation and recommend staying here.

I am also a huge fan of the Disney Dining Plan.  My family and I always opt for the plan when we travel to Walt Disney World.  We, however, purchase the standard plan that includes 1 snack, 1 Quick Service credit and 1 Table Service credit per night at Walt Disney World.  This plan works out really well for us because we typically eat a lot of character meals on vacation and enjoy taking time to sit down for dinner.  I suggest the Quick Service Dining Plan to people who do not want to take time away from the parks for a sit down meal.  It is a great plan and there are some really Quick Service meals.

Have a wonderful vacation Christina, I think you have made some great choices for your upcoming vacation.  If I can help with any other questions you may have, feel free to ask.

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
