Going to WDW for the first time in March with our two children (7,8). Trying desparatly to figure out if the dining plan is worth it-not from a monetary stand point but from a "time" stand point-will we have to search for places to eat??

Hi Melissa - how exciting to be planning your first vacation to Disney World.  Thanks for stopping by the Moms Panel for advice.  If you are thinking about getting the regular dining plan, it will include one table service, one quick service and one snack per person for each night on your reservation.  For the table service meals, it's strongly recommended that you have reservations made.  That way you know where you are going and you are guaranteed seating.  The searching you will do is from the comfort of your home as you review the different restaurants and make reservations (as of 10/27/09, you'll be able to make your reservations 180 days prior to check-in).  As far as the quick service locations - they are everywhere.  Each resort has a location as well as plenty of options in the parks.  Snack options are also plentiful.

You can find more information on the dining plan here.  When making reservations you can do so online or call 407-WDW-DINE.

I hope your vacation is truly magical!  Diane  :)
