Hi. I am going to WDW for the first time in July 2012 with my partner and she has been before but I'm really wanting to do something special for her. Are the carriage rides still offered in July 16-20? I wasnt sure because of the heat. Thanks!!!

    Hi Amanda,

I have heard some reports that there may be interruptions in the carriage ride schedule at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground in the months ahead.  My best advice would be to call (407) WDW-PLAY to see if they would be willing to book a carriage ride at this location during your July trip.

If you have your heart set on a carriage ride and the ones at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground are not available, make reservations for the lovely carriage rides offered at Disney's Port Orleans Resort Riverside.  These experiences are equally enjoyable.  Again, you could call (407) WDW-PLAY to reserve your carriage.

Another truly unique experience worth considering is a private fireworks cruise.  I went on one of these cruises earlier this month and I can't describe in words how amazing these experiences are.  There's nothing like sitting on a private watercraft parked on the Seven Seas Lagoon in front of Cinderella Castle as the strains of Wishes emanate from the boat speakers and the glorious fireworks explore overhead.  If you're looking for a magical experience, you can't do better than a fireworks cruise.

Best wishes to you for a magical trip this July!
