    We are going to WDW for the first time in July. I did not realise how far in advance we were able to book things like the character dinners. Is it possible to get in without reservations. I've tried but all seem to be booked.

    Hello, Heidi!  Welcome to the Moms Panel!

    I am thrilled to hear that you and your family will be visiting Walt Disney World for the first time ever! You are simply going to LOVE this MAGICAL place!

    I was sad to read that you have not been able to secure any character dining reservations.  I do not want to lie and tell you that getting in will be a breeze.  Chances are you will be turned away.  Now, with that being said, have you tried calling (407)WDW-DINE?  I would call them everyday and ask them to keep checking for any cancellations.  The Cast Members will also be able to recommend some great restaurants.  Trust me, you will want to utilize them.

    Now once you are in the parks, do not ever feel that you cannot just stop by and ask.  There are times that a family may not show-up and they will be able to seat you.  I have always been lucky at The Crystal Palace.  They feature Winnie-the-Pooh and friends.  This restaurant is located inside the Magic Kingdom. Always stop by and ask and keep the above number handy.  While you are in the parks and waiting in lines, give them a call.  You just may be surprised!
