Going to WDW for the first time in January! On our first day we have a ADR at Crystal Palace for 8:05. I've read up on getting there but after we eat, what's the protocol? I don't want to miss rope drop. Thanks!!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel Heather ~

Breakfast at the Crystal Palace in the Magic Kingdom is a wonderful way to start a pixie dusted day! Once you have finished breakfast, you are welcome to stay in the Magic Kingdom. Although park hours vary and can change without notice, it usually opens no later than 9 a.m. You can check theme park hours and calendars online. Once you click on the link, it will bring up today's date and hours. You will see a small calendar icon next to the date. Click on that calendar icon and select the date you plan to visit the Magic Kingdom.

The Magic Kingdom Welcome Show takes places each morning in front of the Main Street, U.S.A train station 10 - 15 minutes prior to the Magic Kingdom opening. You can find the schedule for The Magic Kingdom Welcome Show on the day you plan to visit by clicking on the link provided. Once you reach that page, you will see the time for the current date and a small calendar icon. Click on the calendar icon, select your date of visit and it should bring up the time. Sometimes the entertainment schedules are not posted until closer to the actual date.

If you have time following your breakfast to make it back to the front of the Magic Kingdom, you can watch The Magic Kingdom Welcome Show in front of the train station. You do not have to exit the park to watch it. Depending on park opening and the scheduled show time, you may or may not have a bit of a tough time making it with an 8:05 a.m. dining reservation. The Crystal Palace is awesome so you may want to just enjoy it without stressing about making it back to the front of the park.

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
