Hi Koren,
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us another question, my fellow Canadian!
I'm thrilled to hear that you're going to be visiting Walt Disney World Resort for the first time this year. Using
Disney's FastPass+ system is a great way to get the most out of that visit, while minimizing wait times. The way FastPass+ works is that each selection gives you an hour "window" to use your selection. You can only have one active selection at a time, so you can't make multiple selections in the same hour.
But, don't worry! Based on my experience, there isn't a ton of down time, even with that hour window. What I typically do is enjoy a few attractions the moment the Theme Park opens, with minimal waits, and then I return to experience my first FastPass+ attraction near the end of that first return window. I can then go to my second one almost immediately afterwards. Then, if I have time, I grab a quick snack or drink and head to my 3rd selection. I'd recommend doing the same for you and your family, that way you can make sure to avoid criss-crossing the Park when you arrive.
Example: at Magic Kingdom Park, I'll select
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad as my first FastPass+ selection, followed by
Splash Mountain and during my snack break, I'll head to
Aloha Isle to get a Dole Whip before hitting up
Pirates of the Caribbean.
Please don't hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions. We're here to help make your first visit a memorable one!
Have a Magical Day,
Lynne
