Hi Brian,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Thanks for sending us your question!
We have food allergies in our family too! One of the reasons we simply LOVE dining at the Walt Disney World Resort, is that we know that our family's dietary needs will be met without incident.
Disney dining locations—both Table-Service and Quick-Service—can easily accommodate the following common food allergies: gluten or wheat, lactose or milk, peanuts and tree nuts, shellfish, soy, fish, eggs and corn. Isn't that fantastic?
The majority of restaurants located at
Walt Disney World Resort Hotels, Disney Theme Parks and Disney Springs now offer
allergy-friendly menus to address allergies and food intolerances, often with no advance arrangements! Here's an example of an
Allergy-Friendly Menu from Jiko - The Cooking Place, which is one of my family's favorite Disney restaurants. This gives you an idea about the exclusion of specific allergens from each of the entrees offered on the menu.
For more information regarding dietary accommodations for your wife and daughter, please email
special.diets@disneyworld.com. I would also encourage you to discuss their dietary requirements with your server upon arrival at each dining location or, if desired, consult with a chef or Cast Member trained in special diets—before placing any orders.
Wishing your family an
unforgettable vacation at the Walt Disney World Resort!
