We are going to WDW the first of June. There will be 11 of us. Can you tell me the best places for us to eat at each one of the theme parks.

    Mary:

I can tell you that some restaurants are easier in accommodating a large group than others.  Here are my suggestions:

Biergarten, Epcot:  Probably one of the best restaurants for large groups because its tables already seat 10.  You won't have a problem going up to 11, because you can seat someone on the end.  I like to take groups here because it has a meat and potatoes buffet that offers a lot to like even for picky eaters.

Crystal Palace, Magic Kingdom:  Again, a buffet suits a larger group better for getting your meal, but at this buffet, the food won't suffer because of it.  My favorite dishes are their salads, from tabbouleh to quinoa, and homestyle favorites like corn casserole, roasted chicken, and tenderloin.

It's a toss up at Disney's Hollywood Studios:  Unfortunately, most of the table service restaurants in Disney Studios are entertainment driven (Sci Fi seats you in cars, two abreast and 50's Prime-Time in tables best suited for "family" parties of four to six or less).  Hollywood & Vine offers a buffet, but if you don't have small children in the group, the character experience may be a little juvenile with the Little Einsteins.  Mama Melrose offers up good Italian, but I haven't eaten there with a large group, and be aware you'll be ordering off the menu.  Our family often opts for counter service in this park at Studio Catering for its large seating area under a canopy that is right next to the Honey, I Shrunk the Kids playground.

Tusker House, Animal Kingdom:  The buffet is more adventurous than the others I've recommended, but gets good reviews.  If you can't land a large group seating, consider trying Pizzafari (I love their Italian sandwich), which will provide an air-conditioned respite from the heat and plenty of group seating if you go to one of the back rooms.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
