Moms, Where in WDW can I find the best silhouette artist? I heard that the gentleman in DTD isn't there anymore. Thanks! @-}--

    Rochelle:

Thanks for coming to the Mom's Panel!

With four children, we've gotten silhouettes done several times over the years and in three different locations at Disney: in the Magic Kingdom right off Main Street near the bakery and over near Liberty Square created by the same gentleman and in France at Epcot by someone else. I have to say that I thought all three were well done and equally impressive. I have found the artists not to be very chatty, but if I was handling little scissors, not to mention little children all day, I'd be pretty focused to work quickly and cut the small talk, too!

The price for the silhouettes are so reasonable (and you get two for the price of one--a real value at Disney), that if you came away and weren't pleased, you could easily find another artist to try and not feel guilty about it at all.  Although a few years old, here is more information about the silhouettes from the Disney blog.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Whitney, Mississippi

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
