We will be at WDW Feb12th - 19th, 2017. Are the lines to meet and greet the characters generally less crowded in the early morning just after park opening OR should we do the meet and greets later on in the day and do the attractions first?

Hi Joann and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

The answer to your question really depends on what is most important to you and your family.

You will find that early morning, just after park opening, the lines for both attractions and character meet and greets alike are much less than during the rest of the day.

I would therefore recommend that you make a list of your must-dos, in order of priority, and work your way through them (whether it be attractions or character meet and greets) once you arrive at the Theme Parks.

Don't forget that you will also be able to make 3 FastPass+ selections for each day of your visit in advance of your trip which is a great way to cross off a few must-dos from your list. If possible, I would suggest making your FastPass+ selections for early afternoon so that you can take advantage of the low crowds during the morning.

I would also be sure to pick up a Times Guide as you enter the Theme Parks in order to check at what times the various character meet and greets will be taking place throughout the day - not all begin as soon as the Theme Parks open.

Wishing you a magical trip filled with memories which will last a lifetime!
