We're going to WDW Feb 12-17 and plan to see Fantasmic on Sun Feb 13. Do you really need to get to Fantasmic 60-90min early even at this time of year with lower crowds? Really don't want another dining reservation, but don't want to wait an hour either.

    Hi Alicia!
Happy New Year!! The good news for you is that the parks SHOULD be less crowded during your upcoming visit. The bad news is that even with light crowds, Fantasmic! does not run nightly, and as a result, there is always a long queue to enter the show. I was in Hollywood Studios early last month and even getting in line 90 minutes before show time, I was still half way down Sunset Boulevard. As a result, given your lack of interest in waiting in line (and who can blame you), I would recommend a Fantasmic! Dining package.
Some options to consider are that you could also check with a Cast Member on the corner of Hollywood and Sunset Boulevards about 2 hours before show time to inquire about crowd levels for the day. He/she can give an indication as to when you may need to join the line to ensure that you get into the show. The only other option I can suggest is that if you are not fussy about where you sit, join the queue as it is entering the show, and find a seat wherever you can.It will save the expense of an additional "sit-down" meal, but it a roll of the dice as to admission.
I hope this gives you a few additional choices, and I wish you a Magical trip!! :)
