Tony from NC Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

Will be at WDW Feb 27- Mar 6, two adults and 2 children, ages 11 & 8. If there are no dining plans, how much should we allow for food. We would get the plan with 2 table service meals and snacks. Thank you, Tony

    Welcome back to planDisney, Tony!

I’m so happy to hear from you! I’m sure you’re excited for your upcoming trip! I just returned from my latest trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth, and I can’t wait for you to experience all of the magic that is waiting for you and your family!

It sounds like, if you were able to utilize the Disney Dining Plans, your family would be looking to use the Disney Dining Plan Plus! This incredible Plan, when offered, allowed each member of your party 2 meals per night of your stay (either Table Service or Quick Service), 2 snacks or nonalcoholic beverages per night of your stay, and 1 Resort Refillable Mug! I am anxious for Disney Dining Plans to return, but for now the cost of this Plan should give you a good idea of what to budget for your family! When it was offered, the Disney Dining Plan Plus was approximately $95 per adult (these prices included the sales tax) per night, and about $35 per child (ages 3-9) per night. This would be a good start for your family if you are looking to dine at 2 Table Service restaurants and enjoy snacks during each night of your stay!

Now, there are definitely differences in prices depending on where you’d like to dine. For instance: A dinner at Cinderella’s Royal Table would run you about $62 dollars per adult, and about $37 per child, whereas a dinner at the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant would average you $25 per adult and $15 per child. (I highly recommend both of these restaurants!) Because there is a wide range of prices even between the Table Service restaurants, you may want to take a look at your personal party’s plan for dining each day! If you’re looking to dine at more formal Table Service restaurants twice a day, you’d like to add a specialty beverage at each dining location, or you’re really into the gourmet snacks, you may need to add to your budget accordingly. However, if you’re wanting to dine at the more standard Table Service restaurants, the above prices I recommended should be more than enough to comfortably cover each member of your family!

I hope you enjoy your trip, Tony! We always love hearing from you at planDisney, and we wish you all of the magic for your upcoming vacation! Please feel free to visit me, or my friends at planDisney, again! We’d be happy to help you again!

    Keep moving forward
