We will be at WDW Feb 1-9 2011 and are finishing our itinerary. Do you know of any rides/attractions that will be closed during that time? It's our first family vacation to WDW! SO EXCITED! Thanks for the info! :)

    Hi Michele,

A first trip to Disney World is super exciting!

I checked the online calendars for all 4 theme parks during your visit.  At Magic Kingdom, the Liberty Square Riverboat is closed until February 4, 2011.  At Disney's Hollywood Studios, Star Tours is closed now thru 5-19-11. Playhouse Disney-Live on Stage! will be closed Jan 30th - March 5, 2011.  At Animal Kingdom, Primeval Whirl is closed until April 16, 2011.  Blizzard Beach will also be closed.  Keep in mind that attractions may close without notice at any given time for a number of reasons.

You can find a list of scheduled Operational Updates by going to the calendar links for each park:

    Magic Kingdom
    Epcot
    Disney's Hollywood Studios
    Animal Kingdom

From there, choose February 2011 from the drop down list beside the View Month tab. To check for scheduled Operational Updates, click on your dates of travel. To the right of the schedule for a particular day, you will see closings if any are scheduled.

You can also check on www.allears.net. Search for "Rehabs and Closures". It is an unofficial Disney website but they do an excellent job of giving you the info in one location. You can always confirm by clicking on the links on the official WDW links shown above. Wishing you many magical memories :-) Allison
