We are going to WDW Feb 23-28, 2014. We are a family of 5 (kids 5,8,9). Our 1st choice is Art of Animation, but why are they not participating in the Stay, Play and Dine offer? Beach Club total is almost equal with the dining plan. What would you choose?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel Marci ~

Disney will choose different resorts for their special offers for many different reasons. I honestly don't know the exact reason that the Art of Animation Resort wasn't selected as one of the resorts for the Play, Stay, Dine and Save offer. Perhaps the Art of Animation Resort is very popular right now because its the newest resort so they chose not to include it - that's just a guess - I don't know for sure.

I can say this for sure - if you can stay at the Beach Club Resort for almost the same price with the dining plan, I would absolutely choose to stay there. The Beach Club Resort is fabulous and one of our all time favorite resorts. Here are some reasons why:

Location: You'll have quick access to 2 theme parks from the Beach Club Resort. Both Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios are easily accessible via Friendship Boat or walking. You'll also be directly across Crescent Lake from the BoardWalk area which features dining, shops & a very festive atmosphere in the evening.

Amenities: Stormalong Bay is considered by many to be the best resort pool at Disney with an awesome water slide. There are quiet pools and hot tubs at the resort as well. They heat the pools so even in February, swimming is a possibility.

Dining: Not only are there great places to dine at Beach Club and its sister resort Yacht Club, but you have easy access to all the amazing restaurants at Epcot and BoardWalk.

Recreation: There are tons of options including boat rentals, bike rentals, fishing, pirate cruises, movies under the stars and more.

I love the service at the deluxe resorts. Its wonderful and you'll love it too!
