    Hi! I am going to WDW at the end of October and I have a 6 yr old with a gluten allergy. Does anyone have any suggestions for quick service locations that may have options for him?

    Hello Megan,

    I recently found out I have a gluten sensitivity so I'm quickly learning about the many options Disney Dining has for those of use with special dietary needs.

    At many Table Service Restaurants, you can let a Cast Member know at the time you make your reservations of your child's allergy and they will accommodate. I've seen a Chef come table side to discuss with families the different options they have. It's really great.

    For Quick Service Restaurants, it's a bit trickier, but it there are still plenty of choices. Disney has several locations that have menu items on hand or items available upon request. This makes super convenient for families dealing with food allergies. From what I remember, some of the restaurants include -

    Magic Kingdom: Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe, Pecos Bills, Columbia House Harbor
    Epcot: Sunshine Season, Liberty Inn
    Hollywood Studios: Backlot Express, ABC Commissary, Pizza Planet
    Animal Kingdom: Restaurantosaurus, Flame Tree Barbecue

    Think gluten free buns, salads, and pizza. French fries are made in a fryer specifically for G/F. For dessert, it varies by location. Sometimes it's pudding. Other times there are pre-packaged gluten free cookies or fruit.

    With other locations not listed above, you are able to speak with a Cast Member and they will accommodate you as much as possible. Just know, I had to wait once or twice a little longer than usual as they accommodated my request.
