We are going to WDW in early November. I was wondering if all of the Christmas decorations and lights would already be up. Also any suggestions on things to do would be greatly appreciated. We will be staying at the Shades of Green inside the park.

    Hi Heather,

Thanks so much for your question! The holiday decorations at Walt Disney World will take your breath away. The best part is that every theme park and resort gives their own unique style to decorating, so you'll have a different experience at every location.

If Walt Disney World holiday history repeats itself, we should see holiday decorations in the parks and resorts around November 8th. If you are looking for a memorable activity for your magical vacation, be sure to acquire tickets for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party in Magic Kingdom. Held on select nights within November and December, you'll get to admire the Castle Dream Lights on Cinderella Castle, while watching Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade and Holiday Wishes. Plus, there's hot cocoa and cookies galore!

If you're looking for another option, make a point of visiting as many official Walt Disney World resorts as possible to see how they each celebrate the season. Some select resorts, like Disney's Boardwalk, will have life-size gingerbread masterpieces right in their lobbies for guests to view. Since you will be staying at Shades of Green resort, I suggest walking over to Disney's Polynesian Resort to see their decorations. They are a site to behold!

I hope this answered your question, Heather. If you have any more questions before your magical vacation, please feel free to ask us at any time.

    Have a fantastical Disney day!
