We are going to WDW in early December 2011. I'm getting mixed reviews of MVMCP. Is it really worth the money? I'm told that all you would really miss is snow and hot chocolate. Help! If this is worth it, I don't want our family to miss out. Thanks.

    Hi Tawn!

Thank you for sending this question to the Moms Panel!  I personally love Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party and look forward to going every year.  There is the special parade that in early December is only available at the party and there are also special stage shows and fireworks.  The Magic Kingdom will also be generally less crowded than a normal night since an extra cost party ticket is required.

However, I can't tell you if it's really worth it or not.  It really depends on each guest.  If you are the type of guests that never watches the parade or the fireworks anyways (some guests don't) because you are focused solely on the attractions, then going to the party may not make the most sense.  I personally recommend that guests going to the party do those events that only occur at the party, such as the special stage shows; only if there's time afterward should guests go on the regular attractions.

The Christmas parade that will be at the party is fabulous!  I've watched the parade twice in the same night before.  The fireworks are also spectacular with a different soundtrack than the normal Wishes fireworks show.  I recommend giving it a try!  Have a magical vacation!
