We are going to WDW in early April 2009. We have breakfast reservations at Chef Mickey's at 11:20am. I notice that breakfast is served until 11:30. Will be be rushed with such a late reservation time? Will the characters hang around past 1130?

On our last trip, we had breakfast reservations at Chef Mickey's at 10:45 am. By the time we had finished our meal and met with all of the characters the place was pretty empty. However, we never felt rushed to finish up and leave. The buffet was kept well stocked the entire time we were there, and our server was attentive and friendly.

We were seated in the back room, and when it was time for our check, only one other family was there with us. Much to our surprise, Goofy and Mickey came back out and started chasing each other and playing games with my daughter and the kids at the other table. Mickey danced with my daughter and Goofy tried to borrow the other little boy's shoes. I got some really wonderful photos of these spontaneous moments and it was the highlight of the meal!

I can't guarantee that this happens on a regular basis, but you never know when that Disney magic will create special moments! In our experience, we had a leisurely meal, the food was hot and fresh and the character interaction was amazing. However, if there is a character that you haven't seen by the end of your meal, just tell your server and they may be able to get that character over to your table.

Enjoy your meal at Chef Mickey's!
