We will be at WDW during St-Patrick’s day on March 17th. Are there any hidden gems of places to enjoy a cold pint and celebrate at Disney? What could be expected? Should we pack some lucky green?

Welcome back to planDisney, Michelle, it's great to answer another of your questions!

There's so much happening in the Parks while you will be visiting Walt Disney World Resort. One of my favourite festivals, EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival with its gorgeous gardens, fresh flavours and lively entertainment, will have just begun. St. Patrick's Day certainly is a fun one to celebrate; how lucky that you'll be there for it!  St. Patrick's Day events usually pop up the week of St. Patrick's Day. The first place that comes to mind is Raglan Road Irish Pub & Restaurant, found in Disney Springs. Here, you'll enjoy the very best Irish talent, a variety of beers and cocktails, classic Irish fare and more. Tip: save room for the Bread & Butter pudding, it's delicious! Raglan Road Irish Pub & Restaurant hosts an annual "Mighty St. Patrick's Day Festival" but the exact dates have not been released. Keep an eye on the link above for details or visit the Disney Parks Blog

I also recommend visiting the Rose & Crown Pub & Dining Room as well as the UK Beer Cart when you're exploring EPCOT. Here, you'll find green holiday-inspired drinks and beverages that might even bring you some "luck of the Irish!".

Celebrating a holiday at Walt Disney World is always a blast and it's even more fun to come dressed for the occasion. I love the idea of dressing in green for St. Patrick's Day. Perhaps it will bring you some luck or make you invisible to leprechauns; either way, there's something special about finding yourself in a sea of green on St. Patrick's Day!

Michelle, I hope these suggestions help with planning your rapidly approaching trip. Thanks for visiting planDisney and don't hesitate to return if you have any more questions!
