We'll be at WDW during the 4th of July holiday, staying at the CBR. Our plans are to be at AK in the morn/early afternoon of the 4th. Is MK is best option for the 4th fireworks? We plan to arrive at MK after our 3yr old's nap. Will this be early enough?

Hi Christy!  Your plan on paper sounds great and on a normal day would work very well.  However, July 4 is not a normal day in the parks and you need to be aware you might run a risk of not getting into the Magic Kingdom later that day for the celebration and fireworks.

On certain holidays such as July 4 and New Years Eve many of the parks will meet capacity early in the day which means guests will not be admitted once that happens.  Please check with the cast members at the Caribbean Beach resort when you arrive and discuss your plans with them.  They will have the most current and up to date information on guest crowds at that time and they can then advise you to the best time to be at the Magic Kingdom on that day.  On days like these our family always went for Plan A but always had a Plan B standing by in case we had to alter our direction.  We never wanted to be caught with nothing and disappointed!

You might consider trying to get a fireworks cruise either for the Wishes celebration at the Magic Kingdom or the Illuminations show at EPCOT. Both are tremendous July 4 shows and if you were lucky enough to reserve one of these you would not have to worry about getting into a park with the crowds.
