Welcome to planDisney, Don. I am so glad you stopped by and while September 2022 brought Hurricane Ian hopefully 2023 will bring the most magical vacation ever for your daughter.
Here is what you should know. If you are planning to use "unused" tickets for your daughter and she will be in a different age category then you will need to pay the ticket value difference between the child and adult ticket prices. Please speak with a Cast Member at
Existing Tickets (407-934-7639) or visit a ticket window at any theme park or at the
Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs to get clarification on your specific issue. Explain to them the situation and who knows what magic they may have in store for you regarding pricing because of the trip interruption due to Hurricane Ian. I recommend calling today so you lock in the least expensive ticket price possible for your anticipated dates.
I know, it seems as though you could use the tickets as is without paying the difference between the child and adult prices but any guest under the age of 18 is required to have their birthday on file in their
My Disney Experience profile and the system would recognize anyone older than 9 years old as using a child's ticket upon entry. I hope this helps answer your question.
planDisney Pro Tip:
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party usually begins mid-August. Dates have not been released but I would expect them to be announced on the
Disney Parks Blog within the next 60 days. Mickey throws a fantastic bash with parades, stage shows, and of course, trick-or-treat trails throughout Magic Kingdom Park. It is an enchanting evening for children of all ages and one of my all-time favorite activities.
Don, please
write me back directly if you have any other questions to help plan your Disney vacation.
Enjoy making many Magical Memories.
