I will be at wdw during the food an wine festival . oct 24-31. I picked this time of the year thinking it would be not too crowded. now i read somewhere that it will be crowded. do you think that just means epcot, or all parks? thanks

    Donna:

Our family visited Disney World last year during the last week of October.  Although it was more crowded than I had imagined it would be, it certainly was less crowded than when I visited this past March and May!

In general, I'd have to say that all the parks were moderate, and we didn't notice an especially large crowd at Epcot, but we chose to stay away from it on the weekend when local crowds, along with a healthier offering of tastings and classes grew the numbers.  Your dates put your visit predominantly in Orlando during the weekdays, so I think you'll be fine!  (And if you need even more assurance, check out the downloadable events guide from the Food & Wine Festival on this page and note the days that offer the most events at Epcot.  If you want to visit Epcot when it's least crowded, avoid these days!!)

    Wishing you a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
