Will WDW Dolphin transfer my luggage to another WDW resort if I am doing a split stay?

How ya doin', Denise, and welcome back to planDisney!

Your Disney vacation starts in exactly 5 minutes, and if you're not excited yet, just know that I am on your behalf (and maybe a little jealous). I've done a ton of split stays featuring the Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel, and I'm happy to share what I've learned in my travels.

The Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel, while located in prime real estate in the EPCOT area, is actually not a Disney Resort Hotel. That means that they can't transfer your luggage elsewhere on Disney property. Not to worry, there's still a magic carpet that can carry you to your Disney destination! What I always do on the day I plan to switch my luggage is just utilize a rideshare service to carry me and my bags to my new home away from home. While prices may vary based on several variables, it's my experience that traveling between resorts on the property is a pretty affordable option.

Pro-tip: If you plan to still visit the parks on the day you switch resorts, perhaps that would be a great day to start off at EPCOT. You could store those bags at Bell Services, walk over to enjoy the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts, and pop back over to grab your luggage and jet over to your new resort hotel.

Denise, I hope I've been able to be of help. Have the most magical time for those of us who'll be sitting at home.

    Safe travels!
