Greetings Traci, and welcome to planDisney!
Oh my garland! It looks like you'll be enjoying a jolly
hollyday this December. The
most festive time of year in Walt Disney World is my favorite time to visit. The decorations, special entertainment, and general sense of merriment make for an especially magical visit.
My husband and I are both teachers and like to take advantage of special rates for educators sometimes offered at the
Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel. While a stay at this resort includes some of the same
benefits enjoyed by guests of hotels in the Disney Resorts Collection, you will not be eligible to make
dining reservations for the duration of your trip 60 days before check-in. You'll need to book your dining one day at a time, beginning 60 days in advance of each day.
Best wishes for planning some memorable meals for your winter escape! A few of my panelist pals and I recently sampled a few new restaurants, and we especially loved the vintage vibes and classic American fare at
Steakhouse 71 at
Disney's Contemporary Resort. I recommend having lunch here on a day you'll be visiting
Magic Kingdom Park. It's just a short stroll or monorail ride away from the main entrance. Closer to your resort, for a truly special evening, take the
Disney Skyliner to
Disney's Riviera Resort for dinner at
Topolino's Terrace - Flavors of the Riviera, my favorite signature restaurant in Walt Disney World. If you're looking for any more restaurant recommendations, don't hesitate to reach out again. We love to talk about Disney food! Thanks for stopping by planDisney, and we'll see ya real soon.
Happy holidays,
Betsy
