Will be a WDW 12/19/15. I have disney dining plan but wanted to know if it is possible to upgrade to the deluxe plan. Any idea of what the cost difference would be? Love the idea of having all meals prepaid. Thank you so much for your insight.

    Hey there Tommy,

I am one of the BIGGEST fans of the Disney Dining Plan and like you, I usually decide to upgrade to the Deluxe Dining Plan prior to my arrival date!  And the good news is... It's not too late.  They ask that you do make this change at least 72 hours prior to your magical check-in date to insure those entitlements are loaded onto your Magic Bands and ready for use as soon as you arrive.

And you are absolutely spot on with the fact that it is awesome to have all of your meals budgeted and paid for in advance so there is no hassle or headache on your vacation.  The Deluxe Dining Plan is going to give your family the flexibility to dine a table service location 3 times each day... this includes most character meals.  In addition, you'll be able to choose an appetizer, entree, and desert at each qualifying meal (buffets and breakfasts are exceptions)... in addition to a non-alcoholic beverage.  You will also receive 2 snack credits per day and a refillable resort mug.  Also, if you want to try out a Signature Dining experience, it will cost 2 credits, but since you have so many, maybe one day you can pay out of pocket for lunch in order to use that credit to enjoy an amazing upscale dinner at one of the Walt Disney World Resort's finest restaurants.

The difference in price between the Disney Plus Dining Plan and the Disney Deluxe Dining Plan is going to be about $50.00 per night of stay per adult and about $11.00 per night of stay per each child under 9.

To upgrade, simply call the friendly Cast Members at the Walt Disney Travel Company and they will be able to assist you right away!  They can be reached at (407) WDISNEY.

    Best Wishes,
