We will be at WDW on the Deluxe Dining Plan. Should we buy a plan for our 2 1/2 year old? Some of our reservations are buffet but not all?

Greetings, Barbara.  I love seeing a fellow North Carolinian asking a question here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Your little one is actually not old enough for their own Disney Dining Plan.  When you are eating at all-you-can-enjoy restaurants, your child is more than welcome to have as many of his/her own plates from the buffet.  If you are eating at restaurants where you order a single entree from the menu, your child can share off of your plate at no extra charge.  If you wish to order your child something from the kids menu, only then will you need to pay for it out of pocket.  Ultimately, it will be much cheaper for you to just order your little one food from the menu when you aren't eating at buffet style meals.

I hope this helps!  If you have any other questions, please do come back and ask me.  Happy planning!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
