    We will be at WDW Dec.7-14.This is one of the least crowded times according to the website.I am wondering if it will be neccesary to do a Fantasmic dining meal during that time or will the crowds be light enough for us to skip the dining packagage?

    Yes, you are correct about crowds at that time of year.    Early to mid-December is on the lighter side, so you should have no problem in getting fine seating to the Fantasmic show at Hollywood Studios.   Another real positive about this heading to Disney at this time-- all the Christmas activities will be in full swing so you get to enjoy it before the large crowds come later in the month.   Enjoy your trip!
