We will be in WDW between December 2 until December 19, 2010. Just wondering if any celebrities will be around during this time?

Hi, Tommy! What a great question...and what a great quest! Celebrity gawking at WDW? I like your style! Now remember, consider the source as I answer your question. I'm just a fellow fan with no real "inside scoop." However, I do know that when celebrities visit WDW on vacation, it's usually kept very hush-hush, and much effort is made to make sure they maintain some privacy as well as make sure that the park attractions remain just that -- the main attractions -- and not the celebrities themselves.

With that said, when celebrities are at WDW on "business," you will know their whereabouts from the mainstream media, through social media (Twitter, Facebook, etc.) as well as through promotions within the parks. Although schedules have yet to be made and they are always subject to change, you are coming at a great time to possibly spot some stars. The Candlelight Processional hosted at the American Gardens Theatre at Epcot usually features a celebrity narrator for each evening it plays. In addition, the Very Merry Christmas Parade at the Magic Kingdom may be filmed for television sometime during the first of December, and there are usually famous guests that appear in it, are commentators for it or entertain before/after.

If you're on Twitter or Facebook, follow or become a fan of the various Disney accounts or sites. On Twitter, a great source is @DisneyParks. Back in February, this is how I knew where Drew Brees was for the Super Bowl Parade at WDW and when Demi Lavato and Joe Jonas were performing a concert at Epcot.

Of course, every guest is treated like a star at Disney World...so it's really hard to point out exactly which ones enjoy celebrity status outside of WDW, too! Besides, the only ones I truly get giddy about there are the ones with names like Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy and Pluto! They are really the true celebs! Have a wonderful day, good luck on star hunting and have a magical vacation!
