We are going to WDW this December, staying on property, and will be meeting up with friends who are staying off property. If we share Memory Maker by linking in MDE and use MagicMobile (not bands), will ride videos and photos show in MM for both families?

    Hi Kirstie! Welcome to planDisney.

I consider Memory Maker a must-have on my family's Walt Disney World Resort vacations. Between posing in front of all the iconic landmarks in the theme parks, the mysterious fun of Magic Shots, and the hilarity of attraction photos and videos, I consider it worth every penny. You're going to get lots of great captures this holiday season.

Sharing Memory Maker is a great way to save a little money, and I have certainly swapped PhotoPass photos with friends and family over the years. Make sure you and your friends are linked through your Family & Friends list in My Disney Experience: go to "My Profile" and then tap "Family & Friends List." For each person in your list, you can tap "Sharing Disney PhotoPass Photos" to see if you've linked photo privileges; if you're not connected, you'll need to use the desktop version of My Disney Experience to allow this access.

Once everyone is linked, you should be able to see each other's PhotoPass photos, including any on-ride photos and videos. Here's the tricky part: only the "owner" of the entitlement, meaning the person who purchased Memory Maker, will be able to view the photos without a watermark. So, if you're going to share Memory Maker, the Guest who purchases it needs to be prepared to send photos via text or email to those who want a non-watermarked version. In the past, I've shared with friends who have used cloud photo storage apps as an easy way to share photos.

Whether you use a MagicBand, admission card, or Disney MagicMobile Service, your Disney PhotoPass photographer will scan your ticket media before taking photos. Be sure you have Bluetooth settings on to ensure that the photos can be sent to your My Disney Experience app and that attraction photos will beam to your Memory Maker account.

I hope this helps as you get ready to say cheese with your friends this holiday season. I have had some epic visits with friends and family, and I'm so excited for you! As you count down to your visit this December, your friends here at planDisney are always happy to help, so please come back and see us.

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Robyn
